The BDA NI Board represents the interests of the profession and members in NI to key stakeholders, such as government, other professions and public bodies.
The vision for the Board is to:
- Be the expert voice of nutrition and dietetics within NI
- Promote dietitians and the dietetic profession in NI
- Influence relevant public policy through engagement via public consultations, representation on external groups, engaging with external stakeholders and organisations, lobbying government where appropriate
- Identify areas of policy where dietitians in NI can make a difference and actively influence decision-makers
- Assist in the implementation of UK-wide BDA strategies and other key policies
- Communicate effectively with BDA members in NI
